Tips to Keep Lips Moist During Fasting so They Don't Dry and Crack

When fasting, the body will naturally lack fluids, causing the lips to become dry and cracked more easily. To stay focused on fasting, there are some easy steps you can try to keep your lips moisturized. Check out the simple tips in this article until the end!

  1. Pay Attention to Nutritional Intake

Lack of water and essential nutrients for the body can hinder the skin from feeling moist, instead, the skin will feel dry. Make sure to pay attention to your nutritional intake during breaking the fast and pre-dawn meal. You can consume fruits like oranges, avocados, papayas, and other fruits that contain vitamins A, E, and C. Then, choose vegetables such as lettuce, carrots, spinach, and various other green vegetables. Also, don't forget to drink enough water. Reduce oily and fatty foods to keep your body fresh and your skin healthier.

  1. Avoid the Habit of Licking Your Lips

When your lips feel dry, many people tend to lick their lips to give the illusion that their lips are moisturized. However, this habit actually has the opposite effect, making the lips more prone to irritation and feeling even drier. If you feel your lips getting drier, use a suitable lip moisturizer product.

  1. Use Lip Moisturizer Products

During fasting, one effective solution to treat dry lips is to apply lip moisturizer products. Implora offers two lip care products, Lip Moist Serum and Lip Moist Essence. These two products have different ingredients, benefits, and recommended usage times.

  • Lip Moist Serum: Lip Serum with Camellia Oil, Vitamin E, Omega 3,6, and 9 to moisturize and hydrate the lips. This product is also formulated to change color according to body temperature, making it suitable for daytime use with or without other lip products.
  • Lip Moist Essence: Lip Essence with Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Honey Extract, Vitamin E, and Croton Lechleri Resin Extract that help treat chapped lips and blur lip lines. This product is suitable for use before bedtime to provide maximum moisture.

  1. Good Sleep Patterns

Adequate sleep has many benefits for the health of the body's organs, including skin health. Make sure to sleep 6-8 hours each day starting from 10 p.m. You can create a comfortable sleeping environment, for example, by using a bedside lamp with warmer colors, lighting scented candles, and ensuring a clean mattress.

It turns out that lip health also needs attention! Have you been focusing on taking care of your lips?
